free surgical operations for babies with harelips
in impoverished regions that lack medical resources,
like certain places in the Middle East and Africa.
The medical team is composed of the best medical
specialists in Korea, professionals who offer free
medical services to children with harelips. In so
doing, LG Electronics provides these children with
precious opportunities to live new lives. |

| Donating
the “Seoul Street Land Mark” in Teheran |
In celebration of the 40th anniversary
of the Korea-Iran diplomatic ties in 2002, LG Electronics created
a touchstone, called the Seoul Street Landmark, in the name
of LG, and donated it to the city of Teheran. Together with
this, LG Electronics supports convenient facilities as a public
service in Seoul Park, which is also located on Seoul Street.
LG Electronics also supported campaigns to donate used computers
to orphanages in Egypt. The company invited Turkish veterans,
who fought in the Korean War, to Korea. LG Electronics also
sponsored the crippled children soccer club in the Netherlands,
and the establishment of a rehabilitation center in Russia for
children suffering from tumors. LG Electronics still supports
the broadcasting of the Bridge of Hope, a guidance counseling
TV program in Malaysia. In such activities, LG Electronics leads
the way for a better society all over the world.
