'The Dubai Desert Classic has grown in stature to become one of the world's most prestigious golfing events,' said Mr. P. C. Choi, President, LG Electronics Gulf FZE. 'LG Electronics is a highly competitive organization and has strong links with sporting events throughout the world, including high profile soccer and cricket tournaments ? golf is a addition to our sports marketing portfolio.'
Already present in many of Dubai's leading golf course clubhouses, LG plasma display panels (PDP) will carry the action from the tournament throughout hospitality chalets at the Classic. Chalets will also benefit from LG's market leading a/cs.
Visitors to LG's website will also have the opportunity to win season tickets to the European Tour event, sponsored by Dubai Aluminium (DUBAL) and featuring players such as Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Thomas Bjorn.
'LG is running a competition on its award-winning website www.lgegulf.com to coincide with the 2004 Desert Classic,' said Choi. 'By simply taking part in an online quiz, visitors to the site have the chance to win one of ten 'season tickets' to the championship, giving the lucky winners the chance to see all four days of the tournament.'
