The 160-kilometre race, being held on 20th February, has attracted some of the top endurance riders in the world and will feature heavily on Showtime Sport, CNN and BBC broadcasts throughout the day.

The gold medal performance of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum at the 2002 World Endurance Championships in Jerez, Spain catapulted endurance racing to the forefront of the public's imagination.
"Endurance racing is a tough sport for both horse and rider. The focus of attention for the 2003 H.H. The President of the UAE Cup will be on Al Wathba Endurance Village where the teams return after each leg for condition assessments," said Choi.
"LG Electronics has provided the PDP screens for hospitality areas in the village and a number of products for the 'Al Wathba 5' online competition.
